Beginner Cross Stitch

New to needlework? Head of Circulation Lisa will teach you the basics to start your first project! Materials and pattern will be provided. Registration required.

Wilmington Community Playgroup

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6. Registration required.
Reading with Ducks
Tuesday, August 18, 10am
Join Land’s Sake Farm and meet their swimming, quacking friends! This program includes a duck-themed story time, a lesson on duck behavior and anatomy, and a duck-themed game. The highlight of the program is the Duck Circle, where kids can interact with live ducks. Recommended for ages 2.5-7 with a caregiver. Registration required.
Teen Pokémon Terrariums
Tuesday, August 18, 6pm
Join us to make tiny habitats for Pokémon figurines! Attendees are welcome to bring Pokémon games or cards to play during the program as well. Grades 6-12. Registration required.
Slice & Dice Junior- Pizza and Games for Kids and Families
Friday, August 19, 6pm
Enjoy pizza and games for kids and families! Join us for open play where you can explore our game library or bring your own favorites to share with the group. Kids and Families. Registration required.

Join us for an evening with bestselling novelist Allegra Goodman on September 17! Author of This Is Not About Us, Sam, The Chalk Artist, Paradise Park, and Isola, Goodman’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, Commentary, and Ploughshares. Allegra will discuss her work in a presentation at the Wilmington Senior Center. There will be a cash bar, book sales & autograph signing. This is a free event and open to all.
