Needleworkers at Night

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.
Connect with a Social Worker
Tuesday, August 4, 10am-12pm
The Wilmington Wellness Coalition, in partnership with Wilmington Memorial Library, offers free, confidential sessions at the library for any library patron who may need support. Meet with Samantha Cavanaugh, the Town of Wilmington’s social worker, for help with mental health, substance use, housing, food insecurity, transportation, applications, caregiver support, and more. The first hour will be for drop-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second hour will be appointment based in 20-minute time slots.
Drop-In Chess Night
Tuesday, August 4, 6-8pm
This is an evening for anyone looking to play chess with others! Please note, no instruction will be provided during this casual meetup. Some boards provided. Drop-in.

Wilmington Farmers Market Storytime
Sunday, August 2, 10:15am
Join us at Kid’s Day at the Wilmington Town Common! Shop from young entrepreneurs at the Kid’s Market, listen to rockstars in the making at the Kids’ Music Showcase from School of Rock, and join in for songs, stories, and rhymes at Storytime with the Wilmington Memorial Library. Storytime is recommended for ages 0-6, but all are welcome! Drop-in.
Wilmington Community Playgroup

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6. Registration required.
Summer Storytime for Ages 2-6
Tuesday, August 4, 10am
This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Summer Storytime will take place in the Stewart Room on the second floor of the library, however if the weather permits, we may move Summer Storytime outdoors to the Peggy Kane Reading Garden behind the library. Ages 2-6. Registration required.
Kids Author Visit with Josh Funk
Wednesday, August 5, 6:30pm
Join picture book author, Josh Funk! Josh Funk is a software engineer and the author of books like the Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast series, How to Code a Sandcastle, The Dino Door and more. Join Josh as he discusses his popular books and what it’s like being a picture book author! Followed by a Q&A, book signing and meet-and-greet. All ages. Registration required. Located at the Wilmington Town Hall.
Baby Time
Thursday, August 6, 10am
Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months. Registration required.

Summer Reading
There is still time to sign up for Summer Reading! Register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and filling out a bingo card. This year’s program is running from June 20th to August 13th, is for all ages, and has the theme: Plant a Seed, Read!
