Intro to Novelist

Come learn how to use Novelist to find your next read! This library resource gives you book recommendations based on authors and genres you like. Registration required.

VIRTUAL- Celebrating America’s 250th: Everyday Life in 1776

Monday, July 13, 7pm

The Two Nerdy History Girls, Loretta Chase and Susan Holloway Scott are very knowledgeable about the everyday lives of people who lived through this era as well as how war could upend those lives. Bilingual Story Hour

Practice using your home language or learn a new language with the Community Teamwork Family Resource Network! Ages 0-6. Registration required.

Seed Saving for Kids with Land’s Sake Farm

Monday, July 13, 4pm

Join Land’s Sake Farm for another fun event, perfect for our Summer Reading theme, “Plant a Seed, Read!” Learn about how farmers and gardeners save seeds for the winter. Recommended for ages 2.5-7, with a caregiver. Registration required.

Summer Storytime for Ages 2-6

Tuesday, July 14, 10am

This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Summer Storytime will take place in the Stewart Room on the second floor of the library, however if the weather permits, we may move Summer Storytime outdoors to the Peggy Kane Reading Garden behind the library. Ages 2-6. Registration required.

No-Bake Summer Treat Lab

Tuesday, July 14, 6pm

Join New England Chef’s Collective for a fun workshop where you can build your culinary skills while learning how to make delicious summer treats! Please note: this program will take place at Wilmington High School in the Consumer Science Room. Grades 6-12. Registration required.

AP Calculus Prep

Wednesday, July 15, 4pm

Prepare for the upcoming AP year by reviewing some fundamental concepts from algebra and accessing a sneak peek at the material. These sessions taught by a current Statistics student at Syracuse University will set you up for success in the class and on the exam. This session will focus on AP Calculus, while the session on July 22nd will focus on AP Statistics.Grades 9-12. Registration required.

Baby Time

Thursday, July 16, 10am

Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months. Registration required.

Manga Tryouts

Thursday, July 16, 3:30pm

Have a say in manga purchased for the teen collection with this club! During each meeting, we’ll sample 1st volumes of different manga and vote on whether it should be added to WML’s collection. Grades 6-12. Registration required.

Fairy Houses!

Saturday, July 18, 10am

Drop-in and join us for some fairy fun! We’ll learn about fairies with a story and then build fairy houses outdoors in the library’s reading garden. Best for ages 3+. Drop in.

Summer Reading

The Summer Reading Program is here! You will be able to register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and filling out a bingo card. This year’s program will be running from June 20th to August 13th, is for all ages, and has the theme: Plant a Seed, Read!
