Elementary School Project Update: Preconstruction Activities Expected To Begin This Month

Below is the latest construction activity update from the Wildwood Elementary School Project:

WILMINGTON, MA — Fontaine is scheduled to mobilize to the site on or around July 7, 2026.

Over the next four weeks, several key activities will take place to ensure a smooth workflow, safety and security including, but not limited to:

— Establish new construction entrance
— Installation of construction perimeter fencing
— Erosion control
— Trailer set-up
— Coordination with Reading Municipal Light and Power for temporary power

Because construction is an ever-changing process, timelines and work plans may adjust, and actual activities may vary from what is presented.

About The Project: This three-story, 165,000-square-foot facility will be home to 755 K-5 and 100 Pre-K students. It features dedicated wings for each grade level, an adaptive gym, and integrated special education rooms to support diverse learning needs. With designated public areas and a stage for large gatherings, the building is also designed to serve as a hub for community events.
