Wilmington Town Clerk Explains How Inactive Voters Can Get Back On The Active Voting List

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Town Clerk’s Office published in the most recent Town Topics newsletter:

TOWN CLERK NOTICE TO INACTIVE VOTERS

The Office of Town Clerk will be sending Confirmation Notices to all voters from whom an Annual Town Census response was not received in 2026. These voters have been placed on the Inactive Voting List but will be restored to the Active Voting List immediately upon receipt of the signed postcard sent with the notice. If you received a Confirmation Notice, please return the signed card as soon as possible to avoid having to provide identification and proof of continuous residency at the next election or Town Meeting.

UPCOMING ELECTIONS

State Primary – Tuesday, September 1, 2026
State Election – Tuesday, November 3, 2026

The office of the Town Clerk will offer in-person Early Voting for the State Primary during the period August 22 through August 28, 2026 at the Town Hall, 146 Middlesex Avenue. Voters can vote by Absentee ballot at the Town Clerk’s office until 12:00 p.m. August 31, 2026. Vote-by-mail is another option to cast your ballot and voters can apply now through August. Call the Town Clerk’s office, 978-658-2030, with questions.
