The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding its Summer Reading Kickoff featuring Mary Beth Maes at 10am on the Town Common. Celebrate the start of summer with music and movement with MaryBeth Maes! MaryBeth Maes’ music movement program involves lots of dancing and singing for all ages! If you’re in need of a sweet treat, Alex Ice Cream truck will be selling at the event as well! In the event of inclement weather, recent rain causing the ground to be saturated, or temperatures under 55° or above 80°, this program will be moved inside to the Stewart Room on the second floor of the library.
Boston Roller Derby, a Boston-based, female-only roller derby league, returns to the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) for a double header. Doors open at 4pm. Games are scheduled for 5pm and 7pm. Game #1 will feature Cosmos vs. Harbor Horrors. Games #2 will feature Nutcrackers vs. Disco Infernals. Learn more and purchase tickets HERE.
Can you bike? Swim? Walk/run? That’s a TRI!The 2026 Season of the Bryan Lyons “Try the Tri” starts this Saturday, June 20, 2026 — followed by Saturday, July 18, 2026 and Saturday, August 15, 2026 — all at 7:30am at Silver Lake/Town Beach in Wilmington. Participants will swim at Silver Lake (with lifeguards and safety kayakers), bike ride on local roads, and walk/run around Silver Lake. This is a very beginner friendly group — first timers are welcome and encouraged! Register HERE.
Town Beach at Silver Lake is open from 10am to 6pm. Wilmington residents, with proof of residency, may use the beach at no charge. Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. 100% of all proceeds support the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
Wilmington Community Television (10 Waltham Street) is open from noon to 4pm on Saturdays this summer. Whether you’re interested in video production, podcasting, editing, sports broadcasting, photography, or want to see what WCTV is all about, or maybe just want an inviting place to study, or drink a coffee, stop by any Saturday. Come tour the studio, learn about WCTV’s programs, work on a project, or connect with other local creators.
Pacific Grove (211 Lowell Street) hosts karaoke from Winnell Entertainment on Saturdays beginning at 8pm.
