WILMINGTON, MA — Robert L. Bradford, “Bob”, age 85, of Wilmington, MA, passed peacefully at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, in Bedford, MA.
Bob was born and raised in Plymouth and Hanover and later lived in Marshfield for forty-three years. Bob raised his family in Marshfield and later moved to Pennsylvania. He recently moved back to Wilmington be closer to family.
Bob was owner of five separate garage/petrol stations in the South Shore.
In his spare time, Bob was an avid kayaker and a hobbyist fisherman. He enjoyed gardening, the 4-H organization, and adopting dachshunds. Bob often contributed to the Marshfield Fair for demolition derby.
Bob will be remembered as an active and spontaneous person who was always on the go.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife Janice Bradford, his son Bruce E. Bradford, his parents Richard E. Bradford and Ida L. (Knight) Bradford, and his sisters Patricia (Bradford) Henderson and Audrey (Bradford) Wilbur.
Bob leaves behind his wife of fourteen years, Anita L. Bradford, his sister Phyllis (Bradford) Malone, his children Robert L. Bradford of New Hampshire, Daniel Bradford of Florida, his adopted daughter, Wendy (Bradford) Bunten of Florida, and his stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Kemery) Lewis of Wilmington. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as many friends throughout New England and Pennsylvania.
Funeral Services for Bob are private.
