Needleworkers at Night

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.

Connect with a Social Worker

Tuesday, June 16, 10am-12pm

The Wilmington Wellness Coalition, in partnership with Wilmington Memorial Library, offers free, confidential sessions at the library for any library patron who may need support. Meet with Samantha Cavanaugh, the Town of Wilmington’s social worker, for help with mental health, substance use, housing, food insecurity, transportation, applications, caregiver support, and more. The first hour will be for drop-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second hour will be appointment based in 20-minute time slots.

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6.

Juneteenth Unlimited for Kids!

Monday, June 15, 6pm

Join Wee the People for this interactive kid’s workshop exploring Juneteenth, the oldest commemoration of the outlawing of slavery in the United States. Through stories and craft-making, we’ll honor the freedom struggle of Black Americans then and now. Ages 6-12

Storytime with a Twist!

Tuesday, June 16, 10am

Join The Dance Company of Wilmington for a storytime full of movement and dancing! Ages 0-6

Teen End of School Sundae Bar

Tuesday, June 16, 6pm

Celebrate the end of the school year at WML with all you can eat ice cream and plenty of toppings! Please note any allergens or intolerances – although this will not be an allergen free event, substitutes will be provided if noted when registering. Grades 6-12

Family Craft Night: Rainbow Wreaths

Wednesday, June 17, 6:30pm

Complete a craft together with your family! Take egg cartons and turn them into a beautiful rainbow of flowers to hang on your door or wall! Ages 3+

Manga Tryouts

Thursday, June 18, 3:30pm

Have a say in manga purchased for the teen collection with this club! During each meeting, we’ll sample 1st volumes of different manga and vote on whether it should be added to WML’s collection. Grades 6-12

Summer Reading Kickoff feat. MaryBeth Maes

Saturday, June 20, 10am-11am

Celebrate the start of summer with music and movement with MaryBeth Maes! The program involves lots of dancing and singing for all ages. If you’re in need of a snack, Alex’s Ice Cream will be selling sweet treats at the event. All Ages at the Wilmington Town Common

Summer Reading

The Summer Reading Program is here! You will be able to register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and filling out a bingo card. This year’s program will be running from June 20th to August 13th, is for all ages, and has the theme: Plant a Seed, Read!
