WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for May 28, 2026

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, May 28, 2026:

A caller reported a tree company was doing work at her neighbor’s house and parked trucks in her driveway without permission. Police responded and spoke with company, which agreed to move trucks. (11:17am)

A caller reported a vehicle in the library’s parking lot which had a strong odor of gasoline around it. It appeared someone may be living out of it. Police responded and found owner inside the library, and advised them of gasoline smell. Owner said they would have a mechanic look at it. (12:05pm)

A Benevento’s truck spilled a large amount of concrete in the roadway on Salem Street. Police notified them for clean up. (1:47pm)

Mother reported her son was struck by a vehicle while on a bicycle at North Street and Middlesex Avenue. Son declined medical attention. Vehicle drove off. Witness got vehicle’s information. BOLO put out. Tewksbury Police reported a Peabody flock camera picked up the vehicle. Police eventually spoke with vehicle’s driver, through a translation service, who agreed to come to station tomorrow to discuss. (5:09pm)

Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at the Senior Center. (5:18pm)

CVS employee reported a shoplifting incident. Approx. 17-year-old male put at least 3 drinks in his bag and walked out. Police responded. Male was issued a no trespass order. Employee wasn’t interested in pursuing charges. (6:21pm)
