VIDEO: WCTV’s “Book Stew” Celebrates 150 Episodes

Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television’s “Book Stew:”

In September 2013, Wilmington Cable TV invited me to create a show, and Book Stew was launched. It was my chance to meet authors I admired and to discover new books. And to follow my credo: Everyone is entitled to my own personal opinion.

June 2026 marks the 150th episode of the show (the podcast came later, when podcasts were invented) and a visit to Porter Square Books in Cambridge. Happily, my hosting duty was usurped by noted author Margot Livesey, who interviews guest Jessica Brilliant Keener

as they delve into Keener’s new novel, Evening Begins the Day.

“I wanted to write a book that went from dark to light”, says Keener, who brings the Jewish custom of the Counting of the Omer into play in the story, which features two couples, one wrangling a hostile high school senior daughter and the other reeling in the aftermath of receiving a text stating, “Your husband told my wife that he loved her.”

At the conclusion of the discussion, viewers will enjoy a brief 150th Book Stew episode tribute.
