These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.
Streaming Services and Other Alternatives to Cable
Monday June 8, 7pm
Come join Technology Librarian Brad as he presents alternatives to cable such as Netflix and the library. While not all free, the alternatives will save you quite a bit of money every month.
Cookin’ The Books
Tuesday, June 9, 12pm
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes, then this group is for you! Grab a copy of the cookbook, register on the library’s event calendar, and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! Featured Cookbook: Mostly French by Makenna Held
Craft & Chat

Connect with a Social Worker
Thursday, June 11, 6-8pm
The Wilmington Wellness Coalition, in partnership with Wilmington Memorial Library, offers free, confidential sessions at the library for any library patron who may need support. Meet with Samantha Cavanaugh, the Town of Wilmington’s social worker, for help with mental health, substance use, housing, food insecurity, transportation, applications, caregiver support, and more. The first hour will be for drop-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second hour will be appointment based in 20-minute time slots.

Join Andrew Prazar from North Shore Nature Programs for a foraging walk in Hathaway Acres in Wilmington, MA.
French Conversation Group
Thursday, June 11, 7pm
Join us to speak French with other Francophiles! This is a new monthly group for anyone who loves to speak and listen to French. Join volunteer group leader Nathalie Hayduk for this stress-free, low-key group to speak French on a more regular basis. This group will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm. Please note that this is not a French Class.

LARP Adventure for Kids
Monday, June 8, 6:30pm
Discover your personal legend at this LARP (live action role play) adventure program! Come train and join the ranks of epic heroes in this fantasy adventure. Create a character, learn “boffer” (foam safety weapons) combat, and see if you have what it takes to be a hero! Ages 8-13
Music with Dara

With keyboard, felt board, and finger puppets, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites) and creative movement for a fun-filled musical program! Ages 2-5, siblings welcome
Virtual: Playful Pathways- Parent Book Club

Join this once-a-month book club for busy parents and read one book at a time over the course of a few months! Our next read is Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be by Becky Kennedy. Because this event will be held via Zoom, children are welcome to be in attendance. Recommended for parents and caregivers.
Playful Pathways: Lemonade Stand

During our Money and Jobs Unit, dive into young entrepreneurship with your little one! Time for fun with lemonade! This program will encourage children to be self-starters, learn to count, and learn the value of the money through dramatic play. Ages 0-5

Summer Reading is Just Around the Corner!
The Summer Reading Program is almost here! You will be able to register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and filling out a bingo card. This year’s program will be running from June 20th to August 13th, is for all ages, and has the theme: Plant a Seed, Read!
