WILMINGTON, MA — The Ipswich River Watershed Association is hosting a special free children’s program — “Why Did The Turtle Cross The Road?” — on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10am to 11am, at the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue).
Children will learn about the animals living along the Ipswich River — and the everyday obstacles they face, including the culverts that shape their world.
The event will feature (1) a puppet show and storytime following local wildlife through their environment and (2) a hands-on engineering activity where kids design their own culvert protype to help critters travel safely.
