OBITUARY: Kathleen M. “Kathi” (Poisson) Quigley, 73

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Kathleen M. “Kathi” (Poisson) Quigley, 73, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 16, 2026.

Born in Brockton on October 21, 1952, Kathi was the cherished daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Coyle) Poisson. Raised in Wilmington, she graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1970.

Kathi married her high school sweetheart, Richard Quigley, in 1972, and together they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion while raising their daughters, Katie and Mary, in Tewksbury.

Nothing mattered more to Kathi than her family. She was a loving and supportive mother who encouraged her daughters to dream big, explore the world, and make the most of every opportunity. Some of her happiest memories were made traveling alongside them to places such as Australia, Hawaii, and Ireland, always embracing the adventure and joy of discovering somewhere new together.

Her greatest joy in recent years was being “Mimi” to her grandchildren, Ava, Thomas, and Emma. They were truly the light of her life.

Kathi earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and enjoyed a successful career in marketing that brought her around the world. Wherever she went, she was known for her kindness, intelligence, and genuine warmth.

She loved reading, meaningful conversations, and simply being with the people she loved most. Kathi had a quiet strength and gentle nature that made everyone around her feel welcome and cared for. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Quigley; loving mother of Mary Quigley and her partner Gary Vogel and Katie McSheehy and her husband Kevin, all of Tewksbury; proud and devoted “Mimi” of Ava, Thomas, and Emma; and sister of the late John Poisson.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at Nichols Funeral Home on Thursday, May 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathi’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
