5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Sunday, May 17, 2026: Ipswich River Community Chorus Concert At WHS

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Sunday, May 17, 2026:

The Ipswich River Community Chorus invites audiences to join us for One Nation, Many Voices: America at 250 at 4pm in the Joanne Benton Auditorium at Wilmington High School (159 Church Street). This special program traces the American story through a vibrant tapestry of choral music—from folk traditions, spirituals and contemporary works to familiar favorites. Adults: $25 | Seniors $20 | Ages 6-18: $15 | Card to Culture: $5 | Wonderfund Access Card $5 | Children 5 and under: Free Purchase tickets at https://tickets.chorusconnection.com/ircc/events/1744 or from the IRCC website at ipswichrivercommunitychorus.org. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

A Kars-N-Koffee Cruse-In will take place in the parking lot of Frangos (35 Lowell Street) every Sunday, from 9am to noon, through October. Learn more HERE.

The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.

TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.

CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
