Needleworkers at Night

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.
Connect with a Social Worker
Tuesday, May 5, 10am-12pm
The Wilmington Wellness Coalition, in partnership with Wilmington Memorial Library, offers free, confidential sessions at the library for any library patron who may need support. Meet with Samantha Cavanaugh, the Town of Wilmington’s social worker, for help with mental health, substance use, housing, food insecurity, transportation, applications, caregiver support, and more. The first hour will be for drop-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second hour will be appointment based in 20-minute time slots.
Slice & Dice- A Pizza and Table Top Game Night
Tuesday, May 5, 6pm
Join Librarians Mary and Marie for Slice & Dice, our monthly pizza and table top game night for adults. Each month, we’ll kick off with a featured game, followed by open play where you can explore our game library or bring your own favorites to share with the group!
Chess Tournament
Wednesday, May 6, 3pm
This month’s Chess Club event will be an all ages tournament! Bring your skills and compete with other chess enthusiasts in the community. Register to receive reminders, but drop ins are welcome as well.
Needleworkers
Friday, May 8, 10am-12pm
This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy conversation and camaraderie. Drop-in.

Join Community Teamwork Family Resource Network for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome
Graphic Novel Book Club

Are you ready, graphic novel fans?! Join our book club to discuss one book each month, do a related activity, share a special snack, and decide on the next book choice. Current Book Selection: Besties: Prank War by Kayla Miller and Jeffery Canino. Grades 3-5.

With keyboard, felt board, and finger puppets, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites) and creative movement for a fun-filled musical program! Ages 2-5, siblings welcome

Join sportscaster and bestselling author Michael Holley on Thursday, May 14th at 7:30pm (doors open at 6:30pm) as he discusses his work in a presentation. There will be a cash bar, book sales & an autograph signing! He hosts Boston Sports Tonight with Felger and Holley, as well as the Patriots Pre- and Post-Game Live shows, all on NBC Sports Boston. Don’t Miss This Year’s Town Wide Yard Sale!
The Town Wide Yard Sale is BACK for 2026! Be part of the 11th Annual Sale on Saturday, June 13th from 8am-2pm and join neighbors across town for a day of bargain hunting and community fun. Swing by the library to fill out an application or print one out and drop it off with payment. The seller fee is $20 and spots are open to the first 60 participants. You don’t want to miss this sale! Summer Reading is Just Around the Corner!
The Summer Reading Program is quickly approaching! You will be able to register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and filling out a bingo card. This year’s program will be running from June 20th to August 13th, with the theme: Plant a Seed, Read!
