Below is an obituary from Conte Funeral Homes:
BROCKTON, MA — Clifford Randolph “Randy” Sims, Jr., of Massachusetts, passed away on April 21, 2026, in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was born on May 16, 1952, in Medford, Massachusetts, at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Clifford Randolph Sims, Sr. (Anthony, Florida) and Rose (Contardo) Sims (Boston, Massachusetts).
Randy was raised in Medford and later moved to Reading, Massachusetts, where he spent much of his youth. He went on to earn his Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Merrimack College. Randy dedicated many years of his professional life to Dynamics Research Corporation in Wilmington, Massachusetts, and later to TCG in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
Randy was a man who found connection through community. He was actively involved in the Trinitarian Congregational Church in North Andover, where he served on both the Trustees Committee and the Diaconate Committee. He especially loved singing in the choir and took great pride in helping assemble the church’s organ—combining his love of music with his willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.
Music was a constant in Randy’s life. He had a deep love for playing the piano and organ, and those who knew him will remember the joy and comfort his music brought.
He is the loving father of Jennifer Madore and her husband, Jeremy of Otisfield, Maine, and Christopher Sims and his wife Leeann of Hudson, New Hampshire. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to five grandchildren: Samantha, Sarah, Gabrielle, Alexandra, and Connor, who brought him great joy.
Randy is survived by his brother Leonard J. Sims of Reading, Mass., and his sister Marcia Jaynes of Stoneham, Mass and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
Randy will be remembered for the quiet way he showed up for others, the music he shared, and the sense of community he helped create. His presence will be deeply missed, but the echoes of his life—in song, in laughter, and in the lives he touched—will remain.
