Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:
WILMINGTON, MA — Ann Marie F. (Dalio) Rolando, fondly known as “Re Re,” age 87, of Wilmington, formerly a long-time resident of Somerville, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026.
Born on August 29, 1938, in Somerville, MA, Ann Marie was the cherished daughter of the late Anthony and Antonia (Lanza) Dalio. She was raised and educated in Somerville, where she spent much of her early life.
Ann Marie married the love of her life, Joseph F. Rolando, on November 1, 1959. Together, they built a life in Somerville before moving to Wilmington in 1993. In Wilmington, Ann Marie found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, decorating for the holidays, and feeding the wild bunnies that visited her yard.
She began her working years as a meat packer at Rothman’s, where she worked for many years. Recognizing her natural talent and passion for beauty, Ann Marie later attended beauty school and earned her hairdressing license. She went on to work at Antoinette’s Hair Studio, a job she truly loved. Known for her eye for the latest hair trends and her warm, welcoming personality, Ann Marie made every client feel right at home.
In her spare time, Ann Marie enjoyed arts and crafts and was especially known for her baking. Her Christmas cookies became a beloved tradition, and she always made sure her family had plenty to share with co-workers and friends. During the summer months, Ann Marie and Joe cherished their time at the Cape, creating lasting memories on family beach trips.
Ann Marie will be remembered for her loving and warm personality. She had a gift for bringing people together and enjoyed socializing, whether at her bingo games or during visits with family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Rolando; dear sister of the late Theresa and Orlando Colleameno and Lenny and Cathy Dalio of Wilmington; and a devoted aunt to Elaine Spartichino, Sandra Colleameno, David Colleameno, Michelle Moccia, Sharon Dalio, and Charlene Dalio. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces. Ann Marie held a special place in the hearts of all her godchildren and their families.
Family and friends gathered for Visitation at Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Avenue (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Thursday, April 9th, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
Memorial donations in Ann Marie’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
