MANCHESTER, NH — David Joseph Donnelly, lovingly known as “Picker,” passed away on March 23, 2026, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Born on January 30, 1952, in Wilmington, MA, David lived a life defined by his unwavering dedication to helping others and his deep love for family.
David’s career was a testament to his selflessness and compassion. From building homes with Habitat for Humanity to his most recent role at the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, he found purpose in making a difference in the lives of others.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa V. Donnelly; his sons Sean Donnelly (Nichole) of Weare, NH, & their daughters Isabella & Fiona Donnelly; Adam Claflin-Donnelly (Tasha) of New Boston, NH, & their children Lilly, Thorin & Kieran; Aaron Stevenson Claflin & his children Austin, Logan and Mia of Illinois; and Jason Comtois of Manchester, NH. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Outside of his work, David found joy in spending time with family & friends. Past times included fishing, camping & shooting which he shared over the years as a scout leader, father and friend. “Gruffy” with a heart of gold, David’s warmth and humor endeared him to all who crossed his path.
