The Town of Wilmington is organizing Earth Day Cleanup 2026, which will take place from April 19, 2026 to April 25, 2026. Each day, there will be a different focus area. The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
WET CAT FOOD & CAT LITTER WANTED: The Wilmington Animal Food Pantry is collecting wet cat food and cat litter. Donors can drop off items at the pantry’s donation bins at Empower on Haven and The Barkery during open hours. Donors can also purchase items directly from the Pantry’s wish list on Chewy and Amazon.
