SENIOR CENTER SPOTLIGHT: Seniors Invited To Learn About Emergency Preparedness On April 22

Below is an announcement from the latest Wilmington Senior Center newsletter:

WILMINGTON, MA — Join Rebecca Marion, BSN, RN Regional Public Health Nurse, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 2pm to learn about Emergency Preparedness.

Emergency Preparedness is an evidence-based program that delivers practical preparedness information tailored to individuals and families while, at the same time, supports efforts to strengthen community resilience. The presentation will touch upon different types of emergencies and emphasize the importance of preparation. Preparation includes developing plans, collecting essential supplies, and prioritizing regular preparedness practices to become better positioned to overcome challenges during and after an emergency. Some topics covered during the presentation include methods for receiving emergency alerts, developing a family or household communications plan, and organizing key resources such as vital documents and “grab-and-go” emergency bags.

Every participant will be provided a folder with vital documents and information to take home.
