THIS WEEKEND: Wilmington Minutemen To Reenact March To Concord This Saturday, April 18 At 2AM, Expect Gunshots On Church Street

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Minutemen:

WILMINGTON, MA — On April 19th, 1775, the original Wilmington Minutemen joined with neighboring communities, answering the initial call to freedom which would one day form our new Nation.

As a tribute, the Wilmington Minutemen have re-enacted this march each year with a march beginning at 2AM on Saturday, April 18th, re-enacting the original Wilmington Minutemen’s march to Concord starting at the Minutemen Memorial at the head of the Town Common and continuing down Church Street live-firing their muskets down Church Street to the intersection of Main and Church Streets. The Minutemen will have a police escort along the way.

The Minutemen looks forward in this tribute honoring the brave men and women who answered the call. If anyone has any questions about the Wilmington Minutemen, please feel free to contact Captain Frank West at (978) 668-1754 or email westrewilm@aol.com.
