OBITUARY: Sheila F. Loranger, 84

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Sheila F. Loranger, 84, of North Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026.

Born on January 14, 1942, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Sheila was the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Lillian (Callahan) Fountain. She was raised and educated in the local community and proudly graduated from North Andover High School as a member of the Class of 1959.

Sheila dedicated much of her professional life to customer service, spending the majority of her career at Charles River Laboratories in Wilmington, Massachusetts. After relocating to Florida, she continued her work at Saks Fifth Avenue and later the YMCA.

Sheila had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in simple pleasures such as walking and spending time in nature. In her later years, she developed a love for golf, which became a favorite pastime.

Sheila is survived by her loving family, including her daughter Suzanne Goodman and her husband Barry of North Andover; her grandchildren Dominique of Beverly and Jason of Boston; her daughter Kristen Ray and her husband JW of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, and their sons Joey and Logan of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; her grandson Kris Haggar of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, his wife Brittany Ryan, and and their children Chloe, Emma, and Mason; her granddaughter Audrey Haggar of San Diego, California; her brother Ronald Fountain and his wife Elizabeth of North Andover; and her sister-in-law Joyce Fountain of Milton.

She was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly Haggar of Kingston, New Hampshire; her grandson Daniel Welch; and her brother Sean Fountain.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mary Immaculate Health Services Memory Care Unit for the exceptional care, compassion, and dignity shown to Sheila during her time there.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 7, 2026, followed by a service and burial at Ridgewood Cemetery. All services will be held at Conte Funeral Home, 17 3rd Street, North Andover, Massachusetts.

Sheila will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her strong work ethic, and her love of the outdoors. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and quiet strength that will be cherished by all who knew her.
