Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television’s “Book Stew:”
The latest episode of Book Stew features author Emily Ross of Quincy, MA, with a new murder mystery, Swallowtail, set in her hometown.
There’s tons of tension and many, many strands woven together here – but not many suspects. Detective Samantha Star, herself an unsolved crime victim back in 1994, joins with her rescuer and partner Brian O’Neil to discover what maniac is responsible for the killings of three teenage dance team members in 2014 – twenty years later.
Sam’s intimate knowledge of her hometown, the former stomping ground of Whitey Bulger, does not seem to be much of an asset in solving murders resembling classic artworks and sculptures and staged with butterfly specimens.
