Code 1 BBQ (211 Main Street) will be in front of the Select Board on Monday, January 12, 2026 to request and hopefully receive a license to serve alcohol.
Chipotle (208 Main Street) is finally expected to open this month. Signage has recently been installed and employees are being hired. It’s been more than three years in the making.
The Sauce Cocktails & Catering just moved into the old Big Joe’s location (433 Main Street), which was most recently Panjam Corner. The Sauce will be the exclusive caterer for Community Rowing Inc. in Brighton. Watch the announcement on their Facebook page HERE.
Mona’s Kitchen (66-U Concord Street) has re-branded to “Mona’s Mexican Food.” According to its website, “We are a family of Mexican nationality…. Now we have added our specialty which are our Mexican dishes: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. … Mona’s Mexican Food will continue to serve the current menu plus our Mexican food.”
Frangos Chicken Fingers (35 Lowell Street) is opening its second ever location. If you live near the Billerica line, you’re in luck. Frangos is coming to Billerica at the old Mooyah Burgers spot (199 Boston Road) in the Treble Cove Plaza.
EJ’s Fresh Pizza (337 Main Street) was recently spotlighted by the host of NESN’s “Wicked Bites.” Watch the video HERE. Meanwhile, AJ’s Kitchen (162 Lowell Street) was recently shout-outed out by The Phantom Gourmet.
Peter’s Famous Roast Beef & Pizza (2 Lowell Street) recently got a new owner — Orjona Yskollari of Oar Pizza LLC. Ms. Yskollari received her common victualer license from the Select Board in November.
Uncle John’s Ice Creamery (248 Main Street) will be closed for the month of February, but don’t panic — they’ll be back in March. The flight boxes and ice cream pies have been exciting additions to the menu.
Tremezzo Ristorante (2 Lowell Street) recently celebrated its 11-year anniversary on December 29, 2025.
SAVE THE DATE! The Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Taste of the Town on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn-Tewksbury. Enjoy lots of delicious samples! Tickets cost $30 per person or $250 for a table of 10. Several Wilmington restaurants participated in last year’s event, including Rocco’s, Red Heat Tavern, 99 Restaurant, and Code 1 BBQ.
