WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington’s 2026 local election season has begun.
The following offices will be on the ballot at the Annual Town Election:
— Select Board, 2 seats, 3-year terms (currently held by Chair Frank West and Gary DePalma)
— School Committee, 2 seats, 3-year terms (currently held by Chair Jesse Fennelly Michael Mercaldi & Vice Chair Jennifer Bryson)
— Housing Authority, 2 seats, 1 5-year term (currently held by Vice Chair Lorri Penney) and 1 4-year term (currently vacant)
The Shawsheen Tech School Committee seats and Town Moderator position will not appear on the 2026 ballot.
Nomination papers are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office. The last day to submit nomination papers, with at least 50 valid signatures from Wilmington voters, is Friday, March 6, 2026 by 4:30pm.
The Annual Town Election will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, form 8am to 8pm. Precincts 1, 2 and 3 vote at the Senior Center (130 Main Street), and Precincts 4, 5 and 6 vote at the new Town Hall (146 Middlesex Avenue).
The last day to register to vote is Wednesday, April 15, 2026 by 5pm.
