WILMINGTON, MA — A Wig Party organized by ERA Key Realty Service’s Team Blue, and held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus, raised $1,350 in support of the Wilmington Community Fund’s 80th anniversary.
In addition, a large amount of nonperishable food was donated for the Wilmington Community Fund Food Pantry.
The charity event featured live music by local band What’s Shakin’, prize drawings, and enthusiastic participation from attendees who showed up in bold wigs for a meaningful cause. The evening highlighted the power of community connection, showcasing Wilmington’s long-standing commitment to supporting neighbors in need.
“This event was a celebration of everything that makes Wilmington special – Community, generosity and a whole lot of fun,” said Lori Penney, team leader of Team Blue. “We are so grateful to every person who attended, donated and helped us make an impact.”
The fundraiser was made possible in partnership with several generous local sponsors including: Touchstone Closing; CrossCountry Mortgage; DaMore Law; LBP Insurance Agency; and ERA Key Realty Services.
“Their support played a vital role in amplifying the event’s reach and fundraising efforts.” Penney said. “Organizers also extend their heartfelt gratitude to attendees, donors, sponsors and volunteers who helped make the night a success.”
The Wig Party was created to honor the legacy of the Wilmington Community Fund “by giving back in a meaningful way,” Penney added, “continuing a tradition of community support that spans generations.”
Since 1944, the Wilmington Community Fund has supported local families by providing essential resources and assistance.
