WILMINGTON, MA — Judy M. Sgrosso (Anderson), passed away peacefully on January 27th at her home in Wilmington with her loving husband and family by her side after a battle of Alzheimer’s disease.
Judy was born on June 11, 1937, and was raised in Lexington, MA. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1955 where she met and married the love of her life Dante (Danny) Sgrosso in 1959. Together they raised 3 children and moved to Wilmington where they spent most of their 70 years together.
Judy loved the sun and the beach and frequented them in Gloucester and Rockport with Danny in their 1963 convertible corvette. She also loved to sew, paint figurines and spend time gardening. Judy also loved to listen to Engelbert Humperdink and Josh Groban. Judy was very active and went to the gym 3 times a week into her 80’s.
Judy was a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
Judy was the daughter of the late Carl and Alice (Squires) Anderson of Lexington, and the dear sister to the late Alfred Anderson and his wife Shirley of Raymond, NH.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Danny; devoted mother of David Sgrosso and his wife Robin of Wilmington, Carole Singelais and her husband John of Temple, NH and Bobby Sgrosso and his wife Kristen of Gilford, NH.
She was the loving “Nana Judy” of Brittany Kennelly and her husband Pat, Vincent Sgrosso and his wife Ava, and Allison Sgrosso, and great grandmother of Lana Kennelly.
No visiting hours will be held. Judy will be laid to rest privately at the Westview cemetery in Lexington with her loving family by her side.
