CHELMSFORD, MA — Avis Marie Constantine, 86, longtime resident of Tyngsboro, MA passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at her home.
She was married to the late Guy R. Constantine who died on December 29, 2015.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Peter Galka and Avis (Nary) Galka. She graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1957.
She was a Charge Nurse Attendant at Walter Fernald State School in Waltham.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford, MA.
Avis enjoyed the World of Outlaws Dirt Car Races, and a Nascar fan. She also enjoyed summers at Lake Winnipesaukee.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawne Marie Micalizzi of Laconia, NH, three sons, Guy Constantine of Tyngsboro, Peter and his wife, Nancy Constantine of Milford, NH and Daryl and his wife, Joy Constantine of Hollis, NH, 3 grandchildren, Ashley Micalizzi, Michael Micalizzi Jr. and Jessica Constantine, sister Donna and Seal Hodkins of Edgewater, FL and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late and Michael Micalizzi Sr. and sister of the late Marlene Brennan.
Avis’s visiting hours will be Fri., Jan 3, 2024 from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral Sat. at 3pm at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, MA. Burial in Flint Cemetery, Tyngsboro, MA. Memorials may be made in her name to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
