WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee is holding a meeting this Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room.
The meeting will be streamed live on WCTV.org and on WCTV.
There are several noteworthy items on the meeting agenda, including:
- The School Committee will recognize MJ Byrnes at her final meeting after 12 years of service on the board.
- The School Committee will continue its discussion of the proposed renaming of the Woburn Street School.
- The School Committee will receive an update on transportation planning for next school year.
- The School Committee will receive updates on the Special Education Tiered Focus Monitoring and Federal Grants/Civil Rights/TFM and ELE Continuous Improvement & Monitoring Plan.
- The School Committee will receive information about the district’s 2024 Summer Athletic Camps.
- The School Committee will receive an update on the Middle School Advisory Block.
- The School Committee will receive FY23 audit findings.
- The School Committee will accept $11,000+ in technology grants from the Wilmington Educational Foundation.
- The School Committee will approve four revised/new policies and begin reviewing eleven revised/new policies.
The School Committee will also hear any public comments, correspondence, subcommittee reports, and reports from student representatives.
