OBITUARY: Laura L. Fantasia, 67

WILMINGTON, MA — Laura L. Fantasia, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on April 18, 2024.

Laura was born on November 15, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, MA.

Laura graduated Wilmington High School, class of 1976, and went on to pursue her passion in healthcare for many years. She was devoted to her patients and treated all with compassion and empathy.

Laura was the devoted mother to Deanna Fantasia and the loving “Nana” to Ellie Riley and Lila Riley. She was the cherished daughter of the late Albert A. Fantasia and Myrtle F. (McLaughlin) Fantasia, and dear sister of George Fantasia, Daniel Fantasia, her twin Lorna Darling, Mark Fantasia, Albert Fantasia Jr., and Dawn Kritter. Laura was preceded in death by her sister Helen Fantasia Arraj. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Laura’s unwavering faith inspired those who knew her and kept her strong in her will to fight her illness until the end.

Throughout her life, Laura enjoyed traveling, photography, gardening, and being outdoors in nature. She cherished spending time with her family and friends and was an exceptional teacher. Nothing delighted her more than teaching piano lessons to her daughter and granddaughter.

Laura adored her granddaughters and she treasured every moment they spent together. Ellie and Lila were the absolute joy of her life.

Laura will be fondly remembered for her generosity, kindness, and love of her family and friends by all who had the privilege to know her.

A private service will be held at the family’s request.
