Needleworkers at Night

Can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day? We’ve added evening sessions on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.

A Christmas Carol with Delvena Theatre Company
Thursday, December 21, 6:30pm
The Delvena Theatre Company presents a dramatic reading, with scenes, of A Christmas Carol. Watch as Marley comes back from the dead to help Scrooge amend his miserly ways here on earth and transform himself into a pleasant, giving old gentleman. The Charles Dickens classic will be performed, complete with period costumes and classic Christmas music, by Lynne Moulton, Joseph Zamparelli and Fran Baron.

Needleworkers

This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.

Wilmington Community Playgroup

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join us for our community playgroup where we will work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask us about any resources we can help provide for you and your family. The first playgroup of every month will focus on infants and toddlers. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome

Pop-Tart Candy Cottages
Tuesday, December 19, 6:30pm
A WML tradition: Craft delicious candy cottages out of Pop-Tarts in this wintry extravaganza! Grades 6-12

Family Gingerbread House Making
Wednesday, December 20, 3:45pm & 6:30pm
Join us for our annual gingerbread house making! Bring a small milk carton (the one you get with school lunches) if you want it to be extra sturdy! All ages

Music with Dara
Thursday, December 21, 10am
With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Lots of clapping, marching, singing, creative expression and FUN! Ages 2-5

Manga Tryouts
Thursday, December 21, 3:30pm
Have a say in manga purchased for the teen collection with this new club! During each meeting, we’ll sample 1st volumes of different manga, and vote on whether it should be added to WML’s collection. Grades 6-12

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.

Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.

PopTartCandyCottages

Register for our Pop-Tart Candy Cottages program on December 21st! Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to stop by and craft candy cottages out of pop-tarts!
