Below is an announcement from the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project:
Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project has begun accepting requests to spray for adult, flying mosquitoes. Check the “Service Request” button to the right on the homepage after that date. Requests for spraying will not be accepted before that date or by email.
Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project personnel will be in Wilmington to respond to residents’ concerns about mosquitoes in their area on June 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 22, 28, and 29. Dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions, mosquito populations, mosquito virus activity and/or special event spraying.
Mosquito spraying is only done when certain criteria have been met; mosquitoes are active at that time, temperatures are above 55oF and winds are less than 10mph. If any of these conditions are not present at the time of the application then the service request will be rescheduled to a later date.
