WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington’s Sarah Carter Lecture Fund Committee have announced it will be hosting “A Night With Elvis” with Elvis impersonator Mike Slater on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 7pm in the Wilmington Middle School Auditorium (25 Carter Lane). Admission is free.
The Carter Lecture Fund previously hosted Slater’s show 20 years ago on July 12, 2003.
The Committee’s funding comes from an endowment left to the Town in 1907 through the will of the late Sarah D. J. Carter. Carter requested that these events, which are held annually, remain free of charge and open to the public.
The committee is comprised of five residents appointed by the Wilmington Town Manager to serve three-year terms. Throughout the year, the committee is on the lookout for talented musicians and entertaining programs to present to residents and friends of the Town of Wilmington.
