OBITUARY: Edna Margaret (McCarty) DeSimone, 85

WILMINGTON, MA — Edna M. DeSimone, age 85, of Wilmington, passed away after a difficult battle with liver cancer on May 8, 2023. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry <3. Between them, Edna and Henry had five children.

Edna leaves behind Michelle Cirrone & her husband John, George Boudreau & his wife Anne, Lynne Ryan & her husband Mark, Carolyn Walcott & her husband Larry, and Randy DeSimone.

Edna also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Derek, Amy, Frank, Rachael, George, Jerene, Jack, Courtney, Camryn, Savannah, Sierra, and Zachery, as well as, seven great-grandchildren, Hazel, Brantley, Bodhi, Elara, Landon <3, Carter, and Noah.

Edna was the oldest sibling to her sister, Elaine McCarty and brothers, Edward McCarty, and William McCarty. <3. She had several friends, young and old, that she considered part of her family.

A Celebration of Edna’s Life will be held at a later date.
