PORT ST. LUCIE, FL — Marilyn A. Ahern, age 92, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully April 26, 2023 in Stuart, FL. She was the beloved daughter of John O. Otis, the treasured sister of John and Donald Otis, the cherished wife of Arthur G. Ahern, and a devoted mother to her five children. Marilyn will be dearly missed by Karen Stamm of Palm City, FL, Colleen Kefferstan of Andover, MA, Denise LaMalfa of Williston, FL, Gerry Ahern of Williamston, MI, and was preceded in death by her son Brian Ahern. She was adored by her seven grandchildren: Taryn Showalter, Ryan Stamm, Brian and Katie LaMalfa, Sam and Madison Kefferstan, and Alice Ahern along with her great-grandchildren Aurora Showalter and Wallace Stamm.
Marilyn was born in Boston, MA on January 11, 1931. She grew up in Wilmington, MA where she met her future husband Arthur Ahern. They were married on August 26, 1951 at Saint Francis de Sales Church in Charlestown, MA. They raised their five children in Andover, MA where they were long-term residents before retiring in Florida. Marilyn was active in many civic organizations including the Shawsheen Village Women’s Club, and was a devout parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. She loved entertaining, gardening, and was an avid golfer.
