WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee recently approved the 2023-2024 School Calendar. A clearer version of the calendar can be found HERE.
The first day of school for Grades 1-12 is slated for Wednesday, August 30. Like last year, the first week of school will be abbreviated with students having full days on Wednesday, August 30 and Thursday, August 31. There will be no school on Friday, September 1. Teachers will have professional development days on Monday, August 28 and Tuesday, August 29. The first day of school for PreK & K is Tuesday, September 5.
The last day of school, if all 5 built-in snow days are used, is Thursday, June 20. If no snow days are used, the last day of school would be Wednesday, June 12. Wednesday, June 19 — Juneteenth — is a holiday.
There continues to be no school on the day before Thanksgiving and on Good Friday (March 29).
