SUV Crashes Into Woburn Street House, 2 Sent To Hospital, Family Displaced

Below is a press release from the Wilmington Police Department:

WILMINGTON, MA — Chief Joseph Desmond reports that the Wilmington Police Department investigated a motor vehicle into a single family home on Thursday, March 2, 2023 around 9:50pm in the area of 414 Woburn Street.

Wilmington Police responded to the scene and observed that a motor vehicle had crashed into the residence located at 414 Woburn Street causing significant structural damage to the home.  The motor vehicle left Woburn Street and travelled across the front yards of 412 and 414 Woburn Street before crashing into the residence.

The operator of the vehicle was treated at the scene and was transported by Wilmington Fire Department to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The passenger was located in the area and she was also transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The residence was deemed uninhabitable by the Wilmington Public Building Department based on structural damage caused by the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and at this time no motor vehicle charges have been taken out against the operator of the motor vehicle.
