VIRTUAL Creative Writing Skills Group

Learn and apply creative writing tips, tools, and techniques shared by published authors and other writing experts. Open to all who want to improve their creative writing skills and get their work published. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras. VIRTUAL 50+ Jobseekers

If you are unemployed and actively looking, underemployed, seeking a new career direction, re-entering the job market after a long employment gap, or recently retired and looking for your “Encore Career”, this networking group program is perfect for you! Pints + Pages
Thursday, March 2, 7pm
Instead of discussing a particular book this month, we’ll meet up to share your favorite reads, watches & listens from the past year! Plus get great recommendations from others. Bring along at least two recommendations (books, movies, series, podcasts, etc.) to share! If you don’t have it in hand, that’s okay! Just remember the title. This is a social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. This meeting will take place at Wamesit Lanes in Tewksbury. Registration is required before attending.
Needleworkers

Newhouse Wildlife Rescue
Saturday, March 4, 2pm
Wildlife rescuers from the Newhouse Wildlife Rescue, a licensed wildlife sanctuary in Chelmsford, MA, will show us behind the scenes work involved in rehabilitating wild animals. They will also offer advice on what you should do if you ever encounter injured or abandoned wildlife. Ages 12+

Minute Madness
It’s tournament time! This year’s Minute Madness competition will be fierce. Can you help us out-read 20 other Massachusetts libraries? Starting March 1, log your reading as we fight for a spot in the Championship. Books, audiobooks, graphic novels, magazines and newspapers all count towards our total. See website for details.
Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
Friends of the Library Jewelry Sale
The Friends of the library are accepting jewelry donations. The next jewelry sale is scheduled for March 31st and April 1st, 2023.
Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!
WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
