OBITUARY: Stevan Flaherty, 64

WILMINGTON, MA — Stevan Flaherty, age 64, formerly of Wilmington, MA, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2023, in Hampton, NH.

Stevan was born on October 6, 1958, in Boston, MA; he was the dear son of the late Paul and Joan (Farnkoff) Flaherty. Stevan was raised and educated in Wilmington and a graduate of Wilmington High School.

For many years Stevan worked in the Construction Industry; he was self-employed and could do just about anything when it came to building.

In his younger years, Stevan loved to ride his dirt bikes, motorcycles and enjoyed car racing. Stevan raced at the Hudson Speedways in the late 1980’s; he was a bit of a dare devil and was very competitive on the track.

Stevan is survived by his son Stephen L. Brennick and his wife Kayla, his grandchildren Leah, Maeve and Leo, his siblings Lynn Flaherty, Jean Perry, Kelly Velozo and her husband Wayne, Timothy Flaherty, Carol Butler and her husband James, Patricia Stokes and Martin Flaherty. Stevan was also brother of the late James Flaherty. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Thursday, February 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A Service to celebrate Stevan’s life will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 17th at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.
