Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:
WILMINGTON, MA — Dorothy B. St. Aubin, 94, died peacefully at her home on February 8, 2023. She was born on October 2,1928 in South Boston, the daughter of Mabel (Bell) and Edmund Olive. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank, sister Marjorie Kelly and brothers Richard and Edmund Olive.
Dorothy married her devoted husband Frank in 1953 and together they walked in faith and love for over 68 years. They were blessed with four children: Lori (David) Johnston of Greentown, PA, Steve (Maureen) St. Aubin of Taunton, MA, Audrey (John) Ziegenfus of Binghamton, NY, and Mark (Linda) of Wilmington, MA.
Dorothy cherished and took great joy in each of her 10 grandchildren: Josh (Autumn), Holly (Logan), Brian (Jessica), Jess (Jeff), Michael (Jessica), Laura (Micah), Karen (Tim), Jeremy (Marie), Michelle (Matt) and Andrew (Jenah) and her 22 great grandchildren: Ryken, Talen, Benaiah, Brinley, Sydney, Adam, Ian, Ezekiel, Wyatt, Levi, Zachary, Lucas, Molly, Ellie, Evan, Benjamin, Katherine, Wesley, Calvin, Marcus, Aiden and Lincoln. At the mention of these blessings, a spontaneous smile and sparkle in her eyes could be seen by all.
Dorothy was a woman of simple pleasures. She found contentment watching and listening to the birds, sitting in the warmth of the sun and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She will be remembered for her warm smile, affectionate hugs, and that impromptu moment when she spontaneously would sing aloud. Dorothy’s love of music and gift of singing was often shared in church choirs and solos where she could share the good news of her Savior.
The family wishes to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to Dorothy’s team of caregivers who provided compassionate and skilled care in the comfort of her home. Your endless efforts to love and care for her were unsurpassed.
Whether she was known to us as Dottie, Mom, Grammie, or Great-Grammie, we have been given a legacy of faith, family, and love that will be cherished always.
