NOMINATE YOUR FAVORITE WILMINGTON VOLUNTEER: Good Guy Committee Still Looking For Nominations, Help Determine This Year’s Recipient

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Good Guy Committee:

WILMINGTON, MA — Who remembers learning about the musical scale EGBDF during music classes in elementary school? “Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge”.

Every Good Guy and Girl deserves a nomination letter explaining why they should be selected as the 2023 recipient of the Wilmington Good Guy Award. The surprise presentation will be made on Friday May 12th at 7:00PM at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall.

Tell us why your nominee is special in the Community. Do they volunteer to help others as a coach or a confidant, do they step in and help a cause when it is needed without being asked? Do they offer companionship, clean neighbor’s driveways during snowstorms, volunteer at the Food Pantry, or make sure that families have what they need at Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Maybe they volunteer with Special Needs individuals, or perhaps they mentor or tutor students who are having a hard time understanding math concepts. Do they council others who may be in need of direction, or intervention? You know them when you meet them.

What makes these folks so special in our Community? Do your part and let us know about the good things that they do here in Wilmington. Nomination letters can be sent to Wilmington Good Guy c/o 3 Franklin Ave. in Wilmington or by email to wilmingtongoodguy@gmail.com

Nominations must be received by Friday March 24th at 5:00PM. All nomination letter writers will be advised during the following week as to whether their candidate has been selected. Let’s plan to fill the Knights of Columbus on May 12th to hear first-hand why this person is so deserving of this award.

Please keep in mind that an individual serving in a paid or elected position for the Town cannot be nominated in connection with the activities for which they are being recognized.
