OBITUARY: Natalie C. (Preston) Peters, 80

DANVERS, MA — Natalie C. (Preston) Peters, 80, died November 26, 2022. Her beloved husband, Douglas J. Peters, 80, died less than two weeks later on December 8, 2022. Longtime Arlington residents, they had been residents of Brooksby Village in Peabody since 2018.

Natalie was born in Medford on June 14, 1942, the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Griffin) Preston. She was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Matignon High School. At the time of her retirement, she was employed as a financial analyst with Partners Healthcare.

Douglas, the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Whitton) Peters, was born on July 28, 1942. He was raised and educated in Arlington and served honorably in the U.S. Navy following his graduation from Arlington High School. He served as a custodian for the Town of Arlington for many years.

Devoted to service, they were active members of the Aleppo Shrine in Wilmington where Doug was a clown, “Homer,” and was the recipient of the Gold Nose Award. Natalie was a member of the H.O.N.S.

They leave their son, James Peters and his wife Lisa of Deering, NH, and their grandson, Brian Peters and his wife Samantha of Celebration, FL.

Visiting hours were Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 1-3PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends were invited. All other services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations in their memory may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
