Adult Programs

INDOOR Streaming Services and Other Alternatives to Cable
Monday, December 12, 7pm
Are you perplexed by the number of streaming services now available? Come join Technology Librarian Brad McKenna as he presents the pros and cons of cutting the cord to cable and the difference between the various streaming services.

INDOOR Cookin’ the Books
Tuesday, December 13, 12pm
Featured Cookbook: The Cookie Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum. If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar and record your recipe. This month will be having a COOKIE EXCHANGE! (If you have a favorite cookie recipe – go ahead and make it!) Recipes already spoken for: Peanut Butter Cookies, Florentines, Palm Beach Pecan Biscotti, and Pepparkakor.

VIRTUAL Poetry Circle

INDOOR Understanding Financial Aid and the FAFSA
Tuesday, December 13, 6:30pm
Tom O’Hare, an independent college advisor and Director of Partnership Programs from Pivotal College Years database, will help demystify the college financial aid process. 12th grade students and their caregivers will gain a better understanding of what to do after submitting applications, while 9-11th graders and their caregivers will improve their early awareness of financial aid for higher education. Adults and Grades 9-12

VIRTUAL D&D

Interested in finding out more about this fantasy tabletop role-playing game, or looking for a group to play with? Join us for a virtual campaign via Zoom every month with DM Mike! Please register using the email address where you’d like to receive the Zoom invitation (no school emails, please). You will receive the Zoom invitation via email at least an hour before the program begins. You will need to register for an account on D&DBeyond before playing. Holiday Shopping with the Friends of the Library

If you are looking for holiday gifts for the readers on your list, stop by Friends of the Library Book Store Next Door. You will find gently used book bargains for as little as $2. Gift Certificates make great stocking stuffers and gifts for teachers. The Book Store Next Door is open Wednesday and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. Closed on Saturday December 24 and Saturday December 31.

In addition, we ask that you designate the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library to receive a percentage of the sale when you shop on Amazon Smile. Please note that doing this costs you nothing!

Friends of the Library Jewelry Sale
The Friends of the library will be accepting jewelry donations beginning Tuesday, November 1st. The next jewelry sale is scheduled for March 31st and April 1st, 2023.

Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
