Below is a press release from Abundant Life:
WILMINGTON, MA — Abundant Life is truly blessed to have partnered with The Champion Group to host an on-campus missions event, Feed The Need. Students and families were very busy on Thursday, November 17, 2022, packing 10,000 meals for hungry children in Haiti. This is the third such event Abundant Life has hosted since 2019, with a pause during the height of the pandemic in 2020. All meals will be shared with orphanages and schools in Haiti. In addition, this work event raised funds for needs at the church and school, to support our Missions partner Neriah Community Health Clinic in Haiti and to defer costs of the 8th grade class trip to our nation’s capital.
The packing began at 8:30 AM and was completed by 12:30 PM at the school. K-Love Boston,
found at 107.3FM and digitally @KLoveBoston, was on-hand to provide positive, uplifting music and assist with the packing. Working together, Abundant Life students, staff and parents packed meals that provided vegetables, protein, vitamins and rice for children in need, with each packet holding six servings of food. In just four hours, ten thousand meals were packed, boxed, and prepared for shipping. Students as young as three decorated the boxes and prayed for the children receiving the meals in Haiti. Older students carefully measured the ingredients, packed meals, weighed the meals, boxed and sealed the meals and the pallet for shipping. All had fun working for the Lord in completing this amazing mission.
Abundant Life would like to thank all of the parents, volunteers and K-Love Boston for making this a successful event. In addition, thank you to the following corporate partners:
