Adult Programs

HYBRID Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Book Group
Monday, November 28, 7pm
This group, which will meet the fourth Monday of the month, continues the work started with the library’s DEI series ( Instead of discussing the entire book, the group will read a select number of chapters per month to allow for more in depth conversation. Copies of the book will be available at the library’s main desk. Featured Book: The Authority Gap by Mary Ann Sieghart. Chapters for this meeting: Chapter 9 through Chapter 12 (84 pages).

VIRTUAL Dreamcatchers: Extraordinary Native American Women
Thursday, December 1, 2pm
Native American women have inspired many people, regardless of cultural identity, from the earliest contact with non-native people to the 21st century. The colorful and varied customs of indigenous women have resulted in contributions that benefited their immediate and extended communities. The presentation will celebrate the lives and legacy of members from various tribal affiliations — amazing individuals who were explorers, doctors, social reformers and advocates. Led by historian Jo Ann Tufo, a writer, lecturer and performer who has over 30 years of experience.

VIRTUAL The Cocoanut Grove Nightclub Fire
Thursday, December 1, 7pm
On November 28, 1942, fire roared through Boston’s famed Cocoanut Grove nightclub during what was supposed to be a high-spirited Saturday night. By midnight, more than five hundred people were dead, dying, or maimed for life. Local author Stephanie Schorow probes the club’s history, the circumstances leading to the fire, and the tragedy’s lingering impact.

INDOOR Needleworkers

This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.

VIRTUAL Fiction Critique Group

Love writing fiction? Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. Open to all experience levels writing in all genres. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras. INDOOR Deep Play for Kids

Exploring playful movement using stories, yoga, breath, mindfulness, music, and songs. This is fully experienced through the body. This modality helps children and adults release energy through play and aids in self-regulation. A fun way for families to connect with themselves and each other. Ages 3-5

Reading Rivals
The reading competition of the year is BACK! Join us as we defend our trophy against Tewksbury for the second annual Reading Rivals competition. The rules are simple – whichever library logs the most minutes wins. Books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, and graphic novels all count! Register and log on the Beanstack app. Paper logs available at the library and online.

Friends of the Library Jewelry Sale
The Friends of the library will be accepting jewelry donations beginning Tuesday, November 1st. The next jewelry sale is scheduled for March 31st and April 1st, 2023.

Museum Passes

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming

Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2.
The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
