OBITUARY: June J. Frechette, 87

METHUEN, MA — June J. (Sott) Frechette, of Lawrence, MA, peacefully passed on Monday, November 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 5, 1935, in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Winiarski) Sott. June is the widow of the late Laurent G. Frechette, whom she married in 1955 and raised their four daughters together.

As a child, June loved the summers she spent on her grandmother’s farm in Michigan. She attended the Rollins School and then went on to Lawrence High School. She worked at Cherry and Webb before growing her family, and later worked at Analog Devices in Wilmington, MA for several years. She was affectionately known as “Junebug” and was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. June enjoyed trips with her daughters to Foxwoods, Maine, Seabrook Beach, and most recently Lake Winnipesaukee.

Along with her parents and husband, June is pre-deceased by her two brothers, Walter Sott and Donald Sott.

June will be deeply missed and is survived by her four daughters, Karen Aubin and her husband Lawrence of Lawrence, MA, Sandra Frechette of Andover, MA, Catherine Candela and her husband Charles of Pelham, NH, Lisa Johnson and her husband Duane of Salem, NH; as well as her four grandchildren whom she adored, Jennifer Candela, David Candela, Michael Johnson, and Lauren Johnson.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Marguerite’s House and the staff at Element Care/Pace Whole Senior Health in Methuen, MA for all of their support and care.

At the family’s request, services at Cataudella Funeral Home will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Coastal Connections, 35 Water Street, Amesbury, MA 01913.
