5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Wednesday, November 2, 2022: 2 Public Forums To Learn About Proposed Senior Center & Town Hall Building Projects

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5+ things to do in Wilmington on Wednesday, November 2, 2022:

  • Early voting for the State Election takes place from 8:30am to 4:30pm in the Town Hall Auditorium.
  • The Town of Wilmington is holding two public forums TODAY for residents to learn more about the Senior Center and Town Hall/School Administration projects. The first of the Public Forums will take place from 2pm to 4pm at the Senior Center. The second of the Public Forums will take place from 6pm to 8pm at Town Hall. These forums will allow members of the public to meet with key members of these projects including the Chair of the two building committees, the project manager, members of the design team and additional town personnel.
  • Team Blue/ERA Key Realty and Damore Law invites Wilmington residents to a “Jingle and Mingle” Sipping & Shopping Event on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 5pm to 9pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall’s O’Leary’s Pub (112 Middlesex Avenue). Support and shop from local small businesses for Thanksgiving treats & Christmas gifts. Cash Bar will be open, food will be provided, and a Door Prize will be awarded. The event will benefit the We’re One Wilmington (WOW) organization.
  • The Wilmington Senior Center Building Committee & Town Hall/School Administration Committee is holding a Public Forum at the Senior Center from 2pm to 4pm.
  • The Wilmington Senior Center Building Committee & Town Hall/School Administration Committee is holding a Public Forum in Room of Town Hall from 6pm to 8pm.
  • The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm via Zoom. Read the agenda HERE.
  • The Town’s Recycling Center, located off Old Main Street at the Wilmington/Woburn line, is open for leaf and brush drop-off from 8am to 2pm. Residents will need to purchase a punch-card for $15 in order to enter the yardwaste center. Punch-cards will be available for purchase through the Collector’s Office at Town Hall and will allow up to 5 vehicle trips to the yardwaste center per card. NO GRASS CLIPPINGS OR STUMPS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Commercial vehicles will not be allowed. Make sure to bring photo identification to show you are a Wilmington resident.
  • The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Time for Twos Story Time at 10am. Learn more and register HERE.
  • The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. 100% of all proceeds support the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
  • The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding Special Exercise at 9:30am; Cards and Games at 1pm; and Poker at 1pm. Learn more HERE.
  • The Wilmington Police Department is conducting Child Safety Seat Inspections and Installations at the Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) between 10am and noon. No appointments are necessary, however, it is strongly encouraged that you call ahead at 978-658-5071 to make sure a technician is available. Learn more HERE.
