School Committee To Discuss Proposed School Administration Building/Town Hall Project; Interim Wildwood Solution & More At October 12 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee is holding a meeting this Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room.

The meeting will be streamed live on WCTV.org and on WCTV.

The School Committee will be in an Executive Session between 6pm and 7pm to discuss contract negotiations with the Educational Assistants union.

There are several noteworthy items on the agenda for the regular meeting, including:

  • The School Committee will hear a presentation on the proposed new Town Hall/School Administration Building.
  • The School Committee will discuss the preliminary report around finding an interim solution to the Wildwood Early Childhood Center.
  • Superintendent Dr. Glenn Brand will give his bi-monthly report, including:
    • School Council Improvement Plans for the district’s elementary schools
    • Strategic Plan Updates
    • Superintendent Goals for 2022-2024
    • FY24 Budget Calendar
  • The School Committee will receive a presentation from the Wilmington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC).
  • The School Committee will accept a Safe and Supportive Schools Grant.
  • The School Committee will discuss the resolutions for the Massachusetts Association of School Committee’s Annual Meeting, and choose a delegate.

The School Committee will also hear any public comments, correspondence, and subcommittee reports.
