WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Memorial Library recently hosted Father Michael Della-Penna, pastor of St. Leonard’s Church in the North End, and Dr. Jim Pasto, co-founder of the North End Historical Society, for a talk about the experience of Italian immigrants in the North End.
The event was sponsored by the Wilmington Sons and Daughters of Italy, as part of their Italian Heritage Month Celebration.
Upcoming events in the month-long celebration include an Italian Art History lecture on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 7pm at the Library; an After-Hours Frank Sinatra concert on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 7pm at the Library; an Antique Car Show on Saturday, October 16, 2022, from 8am to 3pm, at the Swain School Parking Lot; and the 12th Annual Italian Heritage Golf Classic on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 9am at Hillview.
