- The Wilmington High School Varsity Football team has their home owner against Greater Lowell Tech at 6pm at Alumni Stadium. Wilmington Pop Warner players who wear their uniforms will receive free admission. The game will be televised live on WCTV and wctv.org.
- Wilmington veterans and their families are invited to a free End of Summer BBQ on Friday, September 16, 2022, from noon to 3pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). The registration deadline has passed.
- The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding seminar on scams targeting the elderly at 2pm with Police Chief Joe Desmond, the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, and State Senator Barry Finegold. Call the Senior Center at 978-657-7595 to sign up.
- The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding an outdoor drop-in storytime for ages 2 to 6 at 10am. Learn more HERE.
- DONATIONS WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
